In To Kill a Mockingbird: How does Scout and Jem鈥檚 understanding of courage change?

To add on to the previous answer; they learned that facing the unknown wasn't courage; courage is standing up for what is right regardless of the consequences.In To Kill a Mockingbird: How does Scout and Jem鈥檚 understanding of courage change?
In the beginning of the book, they see sneaking into Boo Radley's yard as brave, but near the end they start seeing that what Atticus does (Which is standing up for a black man) as brave.
