You have to stop thinking about your sleep time! Watch movies and just. don't. think. about. it. It may not be easy but you can do it(:I keep worrying at night that i wont be able to sleep, and in the end i cant. How can i get rid of this?
stop thinking too much. you need a very dark room (or cover your eyes) and music!!! that's my answer to falling asleep, i prefer using my ipod rather than a CD player cause then you can hear the neighbors. And instead of music from my computer (if i listen to my fave slow songs i tend to sing along and it takes me longer to sleep cause i reminisce and start thinking and blah blah... not good) i play a nice pzizz track (it's not one of those birds and waterfalls song played a million times things) check it on http://www.pzizz.com
Well studies have shown that exercise during the day aids in sleep. Try being more active in the afternoon, but DO NOT take afternoon naps.
You should avoid doing ';brain intensive'; tasks before going to bed. Light reading is OK, but reading some kind of crime novel before bed is not gonna help. Slowly let your brain cool down, and let thoughts simply ';drift in and out'; instead of focusing your mind on them.
Hey man last year i couldn't sleep either due to a massive drug problem, i got massive anxiety, hppd and derealisation. It sounds silly, i sure as hell did think so at the time, but meditation. It really does work you can learn to control your thoughts so much. give it a go good luck
Tell yourself that you are 'just going to relax' don't worry about falling asleep.
Take a small (1oz) sip of wine, or a melatonin tablet...
Have some reading material or the tv set with the sleep for 60 min...
just relax, enjoy or channel surf...
slowly sleep will come...
