I am in my teen years, only 5 foot 2 inches, and I weigh 160. I want to lose weight. I am tired of hearing about having a positive attitude and reading sights about weight loss. I try to exercise and eat salads and have no soda. But I can never keep it up. I want to be in the healthy weight zone for my age and height. How to lose weight in a healthy way?
Here's a few tips that work for me:
I spend a long time in front of a computer screen. Often I just stare at the monitor for up to 15 seconds while a page load or a document gets printed or whatever it is that the computer is doing.
When this is happening I lift my hands up over my head and then bring them down. I keep on doing this until the computer has finished whatever it is doing and it requires some input.,. from me.
I do similar exercises like getting up from the chair and sitting down again. I sometimes might be standing up and might type a few sentences while standing.
Combine this with drinking only water and I am doing something to lose weight. It is not much but doing it all the time it does help in losing weight.
I might swap this sometimes. I might decide that I will not do the arm exercise for a week but that week I will get off the lift two floor below and walk up the last two floors.
So long as when I go to bed at night I can say that that day I have done something extra to burn some weight, I am happy. How to lose weight in a healthy way?
Loosing weight is all about using as energy more than what you eat. However much you hate hearing it positive attitude and dedication is the first step to loosing weight, the second is healthy diet and exercise. Make sure you get the required calories per day and that your diet is healthy. Dont eat after 7pm and if you must fruits and very light meal is encouraged. Take hot soup before every meal as it will trigger your metabolism to start digestion process and it will make you be full so you will not eat more. Also eat an egg for breakfast its known to increase weight loss. Take plenty of water atleast 1.5 litres not at once but during the day to keep you hydrates. Atleast every day for 6 times a week do atlest 1 hour of exercise and if you cant, walk alot and be active during the day. Weight yourself everyday it will trigger when you have gained weight. Good luck
With a BMI of 29 you are pre-obese. BMI is of range 18.5 -25.0. If you can get yours in between that would be very good but you have to be very patient and let the weight loss be slow in coming. To get an ideal 23, you will have to reduce your weight to 128. Not to worry though because if you can follow the principles below, losing weight will be very easy.
1. Reduce carbohydrate intake and refrain from consuming starch-flour based products as these will be converted to sugar and any excess into fat that will protrude out of your body.
2. You can consume ANY amount of the following foods: fowl, fish, vegetables, eggs and sea food.
If you exercise, the fats from these food will be burned efficiently because you wold have already reduced the sugars and carbohydrates above.
3. Try just brisk walking for 45 minutes 3 times weekly for a start. Just for information, cycling, aerobic exercise and swimming are the best forms of exercise. Maintain this lifestyle to ensure fitness as exercise will increase your immunity against sickness.
4. A daily intake of the following supplements would help to maintain a healthy life:
A tablet of multivitamin and minerals, omega 3 capsule 1000mg, evening primrose oil capsule 1000mg and vitamin C tablet 1000mg. Remember the body contains a trillion of cells and these cells need micro nutrients.
The above will ensure you lead a healthy and happy life. All the best.
You're on the way there. Eat right and stay away from sugary drinks and processed foods. It doesn't happen overnight - your body needs time to adjust to the activity and new diet. Most of what you lose in the early stages is water weight. Another key thing to include is to do something that offers resistance - lifting weights, exercise bands,
Don't be discouraged. Other things you can do include taking the stairs at school - if there are any - and walk...everywhere. Talk to your gym teacher about an exercise regime you can follow and do at school after hours.
Set yourself small goals. Instead of focusing on 'lose 20 pounds' - break it up so you 'lose 5 pounds in 3 weeks'.
Find somebody to exercise with - if there's nobody at school or that you know, join a club, group, or even Jenny Craig. It's your best motivation to have outside support. Tell somebody what you're trying to do - keeping that dialogue open goes a long way, too. They will want to help you achieve what you're trying to do. Good luck!
it looks like your metabolism is really slow.
the only thing i can say IS exercise.
dieting doesnt work, your body will get used to the food and will plateau,
if your body is used to the amount of activity you do in a day, you stop losing weight and stay the same, if you become more active and burn off more energy than your body is used to it will start using the energy you have naturally stored in your body, resulting in weight loss.
EXERCISE (:, maybe do it with a friend, cause i know i hate doing it alone.
You should have to take a diet togther with daily exercise and workout..When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin.........
drink plenty of water....
you can take following diet chart.....
Given below is a diet plan supplying about 1000 calories during the course of a day:
Early morning: One glass of warm water with a few drops of a lemon added to it.
Morning breakfast: Any one or two items from the list given below:
a. 戮 cup of milk (without sugar) or one cup of tea or coffee with a little milk. In tea or coffee saccharin, and not sugar, may be used.
b. An orange or any other fruit (except banana) of an ordinary size.
c. One slice of bread. Those who are heavily overweight should avoid them.
d. One egg (for non-vegetarians)
e. 2 to 3 small tomatoes or cucumbers
Mid day meal:
a. Take a cup of vegetable soup or any other soup before starting the meal.
b. Before other courses are taken, take green salad containing 4 to 5 tomatoes or 2 to 3 medium size cucumbers. Chew them well. This can be taken in a large quantity also.
c. One or two small chapattis or bread slices.
d. One small bowlful of a low calorie cooked vegetable from the list given below: Green leaf vegetable, carrots, cucumber, unripe tomatoes, cabbage, beet, radish, white gourd, etc.
e. One small cupful of Green gram (moong) soup or any other soup made from a common pulse or cereal.
f. Some meat or fish for non-vegetarians.
Afternoon/ Early evening: As per the morning breakfast.
Supper: Same as the mid-day meal. But small cupful rice can be taken instead of bread or chapatti.
Theres no cheat for it... I mean you can cut corners here and there, but sticking to a healthy diet with a moderate amount of exercise is the way to go. Once youre at a healthy weight, its incredibly hard to maintain that weight, it takes alot of discipline. Right now Im losing weight and I dont have a positive attitude, im pissed off and hungry, but I stick with it because I'm willing to work toward my goal.
Hang in there and drink plenty of water.
Sorry sweety, but all the experts are right...there's just the basics: excercise and calorie reduction. I fought it my whole life...tried every diet with no long-term success. Finally I started walking more as a bone-building measure...just a little at first...1/2 mile or so...found out it helped my mood too! Just getting outside in the fresh air away from the computer, tv, work...so I got addicted to that little walk. Next I started taking longer walks on the weekends...enjoyed that too. Sometimes little aches and pains would pop up, but I'd tell myself...let's see if this goes away after one more block...and it would! The best thing was I found I no longer suffered life-long depression, and the second was that I lost 30 lbs without really trying! I still have to keep at it...when the weather's bad or other excuses pop up, it's easy to slack off, but I always feel better if I walk a little every day...and not a leisurely stroll, but a good fast clip. The reason for the weight loss? Your building muscle...not just burning calories, and muscle burns MORE calories than fat, even when you're NOT excercising. Besides, excercise is good for the heart, brain and just about every other body part. It won't happen overnight...but you'll be amazed how good you feel about yourself for taking care of YOU! Don't think thin...think FIT!
Well if you gotto do it..there is nt other way out than to be sincere about it :) Its quite simple you see..you just have to see your friend's pics..who are the ones that have good weight and you want to be like them and follow some simple things in daily life..weight loss if a lifestyle..it should stay with you..and should be a part of healthy living..you should not do it for the heck of it..bit because you need to be there badly! I was exactly in your situation..here is what i did..
